Indian Shores Beach Trip Re-cap

I don’t know these people, but they made for a pretty foreground

Back on July 4th, I went to the beach.  And I am just now writing it up, three weeks later.  What can I say, I’ve been way too busy.  But here it is!  It feels like an eternity ago, but it was a wonderful, relaxing vacation.  I’ll be telling the story mostly in pictures, because that’s how I roll.

View from our balcony.

We actually didn’t intend to get a gulf-view room on the fifth floor.  We wanted something cheaper, but by the time we were booking our room, almost all the one-bedroom condos in the entire area had booked up. We had friends staying on the beach at the same time, and wanted to be within a mile of them.  So we sucked it up and booked this room, which was much pricier than what we prefer.  But the view was so nice, it was worth it.  I ate al fresco on the balcony pretty much everyday.  Nothing feels as nice as sipping your coffee on the balcony watching the waves come in to wake up.

This is what happens when you get a camera with a fish-eye effect.

The first night, we watched other people light fireworks on the beach.  Most of these people were drunk and crazy, so we kept our distance.  There was a professional display just down the beach (not the one pictured) so we got to see some really awesome fireworks.

Breakfast on the balcony.

To save money, we bought groceries the first day and cooked almost all of our own meals.  We only went out to eat once.  I experimented with new Paleo breakfast ideas and found some delicious ones.  Above is cooked sausage, hard boiled egg, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo.  Awesome.

Miniature golf

We had a miniature golf date on the second day.  Miniature golf is a ton of fun with kids, but it’s even more fun to just goof off as two adults.  Super fun, and awesome photo ops.

I am awesome

There were other adventures I don’t have photos of here.  Lots of time spent with our friends who were in town.  Lots of family time on Saturday, when we invited Carlo’s family out to spend a day at the beach with us.  The last day, I got Carlo to take some pictures of me doing yoga on the beach.  Because that seemed like a fun thing to do.  I’m really happy with how they turned out.

Triangles and tide pools

Hope you enjoyed my beach re-cap!  This is definitely one of the perks of living in Florida.

Serious yoga face 🙂

Oh these are just stunning. I love the ones of you doing yoga on the beach. Can there be a more relaxing moment? No.
