**Every season, I post a set of goals that I set out to accomplish. I track my progress here on my blog. I like the challenge of setting goals – it helps me to accomplish so much more. This post features a wrap up of my Summer 13 goals**
Summer is over, and school is back in session, so here’s a wrap up of how I did on my summer goals.
- Do a sun salutation every morning – I was doing really good at this, and then I just sort of stopped. My muscles are always so tight when I first wake up; I didn’t like not having a full range of motion.
- Revamp my recipe notebook – Done!
- Try three new Paleo slow cooker recipes – Done! Never got around to posting pictures of everything, but I did make three new recipes: Bacon bruschetta chicken, Asian marinated spare ribs, and Indian Lamb curry. And I also rendered pork lard. This has definitely boosted my repertoire of slow cooked recipes, and will make life easier for me this school year.
- Turn mud room into pantry – Done! And I love it.
- Use up or donate fabric, fiber and yarn stash – I give myself partial credit on this one. I did go through my stash and give away stuff I knew I wasn’t going to use. And I wrote up plans on how I will use what I kept. I just didn’t get any projects done.
- Rehab end table – Didn’t happen at all 😦
- Try no-poo for at least a month – Done, love it, and never going back to conventional poo.
- Get family photos scanned – Didn’t happen at all 😦
- Have at least 3 “fancy” outfit shoots – Done! See my “fancy” outfit shoots here and here, and here
- Find my FICO score & improve it – Done! I’m happy to say that my FICO score is 790, which is pretty good. I decided to open up a new credit card account that I’ll pay off each time I use it, because increasing your available credit and paying things on time improves your score. I’ve also increased my student loan payments by $50 a month to pay them off faster.
- Save my receipts and track my expenses once a week – Tried this and didn’t like it. Switched to writing everything down in a notebook, but I’ve slacked off with this one too. Partial Credit
- Read at least two – three professional development books – Read one completely and half of two others. Partial credit.
- Read at least 15 young adult novels – Read thirteen and a half. But also read two books for grown-ups, so I did technically read 15 books this summer.
Not a perfect 100 percent, but I’m still pretty satisfied with what I accomplished this summer. I’ve already got my Fall goals together, and I should be posting them soon.
